Arenga sugar comes from nira enau tree (arenga pinnata) while coconut sugar comes from coconut tree nira (Cocos nucifera). In Indonesian they can be recognized as palm sugar or coconut sugar.  Palm sugar is often promoted as its low glycemic index and is good for your health. Even many customers with diabetes use it repeatedly. But of course in reasonable measure. Arenga sugar is processed organically, whole, and unrefined. So the nutritional bladder is relatively intact.
